LIGHT & A SPLASH OF COLOR

Warm and natural wood tones contrasted with cool greys - complimented with splashes of bright color from mixed art forms, and textured area rugs.  Hint of Bauhaus design philosophies.  Toss in a little modern vintage flair with a refurbished sewing table base updated with a custom tinted glass console table top.

MIX A LITTLE OLD WITH THE NEW

Signature peices add character, and stand out against their neutral background.  A refurbished antique grain scale coffee table from the Canadian prairies has a story of its' own.  Large scale modern abstract art pops out as a focal point above the hearth.  Add texture and pattern with pillows & accent chairs.

NATURE IS ART

Lush exterior views and natural wood tones provide warmth and color.  Patterned end chairs add visual texture.  Candle sconces replace art with sculpture and accent lighting.

b) A custom curved sofa to accommodate the configuration of an oddly shaped living room.
c) A custom party bar to incorporate a kegerator.

Lot's of layers....
Layering tones, textures, and colors makes for subtle and inviting interiors.  Finding a comfortable balance between warm and cool, or form and function, can make all the difference in the overall success of any given design scheme.
Is the result clean or sterile, dynamic or busy, cozy or refreshing, or hopefully both.  Is there enough contrast or is it too monotonous.  All these concepts translate spatially very differently for different people.

Sometimes a mini-makover is all you need.  A little paint, some faux wainscot, new curtains, rug,  and upholstery can go a long way to dramatically change the look and feel of a space.  Scale of patterns and texture are just as important as scale of furnishings within the room.
