Having been raised around the construction industry, becoming an interior designer evolved as a natural progression.  In addition, my passion and respect for nature, and the arts,  continue to inspire my work.

​

I acquired a BA in Psychology & Sociology from the University of British Columbia, Canada.  After moving to New England, I obtained an MA in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Massachusetts.  I worked several years as a therapist, and eventually felt drawn to the study of spatial environments, and how they can be created to impact and inspire a state of physical, social, and psychological well being.

I completed my Masters of Interior Design at the Boston Architectural College, and spent five years working at the firm, Martin Batt Architects, LLC (now Isgenuity), specializing in healthcare design, with other institutional, commercial, and residential projects.  Beginning as a junior designer, I progressed to an Associate, managing small and large projects, and facilitating the growth of the Interior Design department within the firm.  In this capacity, I also served as the In-House ID Consultant for both Children's Hospital Boston, and South Shore Hospital.  (Other clients included: Boston Medical Center, Quincey Medical Center, and Liquid Advertising).

Alas, life is ever evolving, and change is inevitable.  After starting a family, it became clear it was time for a new adventure with a more flexible schedule.  In 2010, Vive Design, LLC was formed in Needham, MA.  I was able to draw on my experience and trade contacts to reconnect with my enjoyment of residential and small commercial design.  Smaller scale projects enhance the more personal aspects of working with people to modify their homes or offices to create unique and satisfying environments.

In 2012, Vive Design, was relocated to Carmel, Indiana.  This began another new adventure.  It was such a pleasure to build a community in the mid-west.  Five years of projects, and collaborations, resulted in great friendships, and so many wonderful transformations.  From small cosmetic improvements, to large interior remodels, I was blessed to have had so many amazing opportunities and experiences.

After nine years, Vive Design was on the move again!  from East to West, relocating to San Diego, California!  It took no time to settle in, as returning to the west coast, just feels like coming home.

​

Vive Design has now celebrated it's 13th Anniversary!
